I SUMERA sono una band romana, attiva dal 2010, composta dal batterista Leopoldo Russo Ceccotti (ShockProof, The Ophelia's Revenge, Kotton F.u.c.k.) i fratelli Marco e Cristiano Del Bufalo (rispettivamente Voce e Chitarra) e il bassista Christian Calzona.
La loro proposta è un misto nocivo di Death Metal e Hardcore, conditi da sfuriate Rock.
La band prende il nome da una non ben identificata divinità maliziosa e perversa, ispiratrice delle loro malefatte musicali, la SUMERA appunto, musa e dominatrice nello stesso tempo.
I loro pezzi sono veloci, violenti ma con "Groove" e narrano storie come: Reality Show dove i partecipanti vengono immolati come il Messia (Golgotha Channel), Surfisti che sfidano la morte sulle onde di mari colmi dell'immondizia dell'uomo (Shitsurfing), la battaglia catastrofica tra le armate della gioventù di Ratzinger e le orde di morti viventi di Wojtyla Zombi e altro.
Dal vivo la band suona in maniera diretta, senza fronzoli, con un’attitudine prettamente hardcore e una gran quantità di rumore, un'energia "scanzonatamente estrema"!!!
