I Verano's Dogs nascono a Roma alla fine del 2015 con l'intenzione di unire la tradizione del primo grindcore con quella del death metal più funereo. Il nome del gruppo è doppiamente legato all'immaginario cimiteriale: il Verano è il più celebre cimitero romano ed il cane è in alcune culture l'animale che accompagna le anime defunte nell'aldilà. Il gruppo è formato inizialmente da membri ed ex membri di Taste the Floor, NIS, Injury Broadcast ed una lunga serie di altri progetti. Dopo i primi mesi di vita e dopo un assestamento della formazione il gruppo a fine aprile 2017 è entrato negli Hombrelobo Studios di Roma e insieme al produttore Valerio Fisik (Inferno sci-fi grind'n'roll, Southern Drinkstruction, Juggernaut, C.F.A., Anti You ) per le registrazioni del loro primo full-length "Summoning the Hounds" che esce sotto Metal Age Productions, con distribuzione worldwide, il 15 Giugno 2018.

I dieci pezzi realizzati affrontano tematiche che ruotano attorno alla figura del cane, un summit di esperienze che legano questo rappresentante della forma neotenica del lupo all'immaginario collettivo sotto il punto di vista più oscuro, dalla mitologia greca con il guardiano degli inferi Cerbero, alla mitologia egizia con il protettore del regni dei morti Anubi, passando per trame di letteratura come "Il mastino dei Baskerville" di Arthur Conan Doyle o attraverso il primo approccio del ciclo di Cthulhu di Howard Phillips Lovecraft. E' un viaggio attraverso l'immaginario più macabro e più reale del malessere della mente umana.

Tra i principali gruppi di riferimento del gruppo ci sono Bolt Thrower, Terrorizer, Repulsion, Napalm Death, Impetigo, Carcass, Autopsy, Phobia, Insect Warfare, Obituary, Lock Up. L’attività live del gruppo è stata al momento particolarmente intensa a Roma ( con DOOM, Vitamin X, Bloodtruth, Hierophant, Deceptionist, Haemophagus, Airlines of Terror, Buffalo Grillz, Nashgul e tanti altri ), città di provenienza del gruppo, con alcune sortite principalmente nel Centro-Nord Italia.

Verano’s Dogs is born in Rome at the end of 2015 aiming to mix the first grindcore tradition with the most funereal death metal. The band’s moniker is linked twice to the world of cemeteries: Verano is the most famous graveyard in Rome and for some beliefs dog is the animal that brings dead souls to the afterworld. Verano’s Dogs’ first line up is composed by members of xKATExMOSHx, Dirty Power Game, Dilution, NIS, Injury Broadcast and many other bands active for years around Italy. After the fistrs months of reharsing, composing and playing their first shows (mainly in their home city) the band in April starts the recording sessions of its first full length “Summoning the Hounds” with the help of the producer Valerio Fisik at Hombrelobo Studios (Inferno, Southern Drinkstruction, Juggernaut e Anti You). The record "Summoning the Hounds" is about the subjects related with the symbol of the dog, a sum of experiences that bound his ancestor the wolf to the collective thought in a darker point of view, from the greek mythology and the hell’s guardian Cerberus to Anubi, the Egyptian protector of the reign of the dead, going through “The Hound of the Baskervilles” by Arthur Conan Doyle and the first Cthulhu chapters by Howard Phillips Lovecraft. It’s a journey across the most real and macabre discomfort of human mind. Verano’s Dogs are mainly inspired by Bolt Thrower, Terrorizer, Repulsion, Napalm Death, Impetigo, Carcass, Autopsy, Phobia, Insect Warfare, Obituary, Lock Up. The band’s live activity has been intense in their hometown Roma (sharing stages with Doom, Bloodtruth, Hierophant, Airlines of Terror, Buffalo Grillz e Nashgul) with a few shows in Northern Italy. The band is ready to start its first tours once its first record is available.
